We have opportunities for BC/BE physicians to join an established group of 27 physicians including those involved in an inpatient/outpatient practice, hospitalists and nocturnists.

We offer full sub-specialty backup, optional procedures, and an open ICU with intensivists on staff.

There are FT or PT options, where you would cover only the one hospital, with the clinics connected to the hospital via skyway.

This position gives opportunities to teach Residents, Med Students and Advanced Practice Providers.

For well-qualified individuals, we have the flexibility to offer hybrid, outpatient-only practice and hospitalist positions. All positions can be full or part-time depending on your personal needs.

Hybrid: Join a large traditional practice where you get to see your patients in the clinic and maintain the continuity of care in the hospital.

Hospitalist: Enjoy the flexibility of only 24 weeks per year, plus the ability to pick up extra shifts at your leisure.

    • Physicians provide comprehensive care for the appropriate patient population including diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses that can occur in any of the body systems. Physicians use a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to treat patients through medication and hospitalization. Responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients and providing them with healthcare services that embody the St. Luke’s mission, The Patient Above All Else. Prescribes patients with appropriate procedures, medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and promote a healthier life.
    • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
    • Experience: Completion of accredited residency program.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current or pending license in Minnesota and/or WI to practice as Physician. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin. Board eligible or Board certified in the appropriate specialty

    • Knowledge of current principles and techniques of physician practice. Ability to function as a team leader, primary provider and role model; to accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcome; to communicate effectively with patients, families, personnel and other Physicians and establish professional working relationships with the same. To recognize the legal limits of physician practice; to maintain professional competency through continuing education and independent study. Ability to support St. Luke’s goals and objectives.
    • READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
    • WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
    • SPEAKING – Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
    • REASONING ABILITY – Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
