We are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus with this position! This money would be included on the employee's first paycheck and be tied to a 2 year retention agreement.
    • The Diagnostic Echocardiography Technologist performs cardiac diagnostic procedures. Maintains patient files, prepares patient charges, performs general record keeping, inventory control, and quality control functions.
    • Education: Successful completion of a Medical Sonographer Program.
      Experience: N/A
      Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be registered as RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), including Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) and Adult Echocardiography within one (1) year of employment; OR must be registered as RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) with CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) within one (1) year of employment. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.

    • Education: N/A
      Experience: Six (6) months experience of daily responsibilities in Cardiac Ultrasound involving M-Mode, 2-d imaging, and color flow.
      Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered as RDCS or RCS upon hire.

    • Knowledge of principles and procedures of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing; certificate of completion of CPR course. Ability to do skilled non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing procedures; to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; to maintain records and prepare reports; maintain professional competency through continuing education, independent study, and departmental in-service; exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibilities, take calls as required for ultrasound procedures; support St. Luke's Hospital goals and objectives.
    • READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
    • SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
      • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds; to lift, move or transfer patients, records or equipment. Close and color vision.
