Summary

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Manager Decision Support is responsible for managing and overseeing the Decision Support function for St. Lukes.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Healthcare Administration.
    • Experience: Over five (5) years related work experience, including two (2) years supervisory experience, at a healthcare organization, CPA or consulting firm; OR, as a substitute for the supervisory requirement, two (2) years senior level finance, accounting or data analysis experience within St. Luke's .
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education: MBA or other masters level degree.
    • Experience: Healthcare operational leadership experience including process improvement and efficiency management.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPA.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Ability to work with complex financial models, relational databases and statistics. Ability to analyze and develop standard costs. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement for both hospital and clinic operations. Superior communication skills – both verbal and writing. Ability to develop and deliver presentations to management, medical staff and others. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and apply new and upgraded computerized systems to job responsibilities. Advanced knowledge of personal computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations. Understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; prioritize work responsibilities. Ability to work in a stressful environment while facing deadlines.

      READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
    • WRITING - Advanced: Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • SPEAKING - Advanced: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
    • REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
